12 Days of Nerd-Mas: Ron Weasley Sweater Butter Cookie
To me, nothing says Christmas like a sweater made by Mrs. Weasley. I like to think that after Hermione and Ron married, she started making Hermione one too. Itchy wool sweaters for ALL!
One of my favorite things on Christmas is butter cookies. Which is just as delicious as it sounds. Anything can have butter and be instantly delicious- so a cookie who’s primary ingredient is butter? Aw yeah.
What You’ll Need:
1 Cup Butter
1 Cup White Sugar
2 2/3 Flour
1/4 Tsp Salt
2 Tsp Vanilla
What to Do:
Cream together the butter and white sugar until light and fluffy. Like, super freakin’ fluffy.
Beat in the egg, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour and salt; stir into the sugar mixture. Cover dough, and chill for at least one hour. You should also chill your baking sheets. This keeps it from spreading like a dancer in Rio. HO HO.
Roll out on floured surface and cut out shapes (You can use the picture as a template or use any shape you want.) Bake at 400 Degrees in Pre-heated oven for 8-10 minutes or until nice and golden. Cool on wire racks or eat immediately because fuck that noise, man.
For the Sweater itself, I cut out a thick piece of fondant from modeling chocolate etched a pattern into it using the long side of a toothpick. I then dusted it with white chocolate powder, but you don’t have to do that.
You could use this recipe for other shaped cookies, but let’s face it. Ron Weasley Sweaters are all the cookie you’ll ever need, baby.
